(note: "Forest Service" always refers to US Forest Service on this web site)

Here is a sample of what you might write to John Ramey of the US Forest Service:
(see John Ramey's letter)

John Ramey
Forest Supervisor, National Forests in North Carolina
USDA Forest Service
PO Box 2750
Asheville, North Carolina 28802

Dear Mr. Ramey:

I am writing to you to urge you to reconsider your Decision Notice and
Finding of
No Significant Impact for the construction of the new WLOS
transmission tower atop Mount Pisgah.  Not only wasn't the public fully
informed about the possible long-term effects of this decision, but no
alternatives to the proposed site were considered.  If this tower construction
project is allowed to proceed as planned, the public will not have an
opportunity to be heard about the presence of this structure for many years
to come.    Certainly the focal point of the Blue Ridge mountains in this
area deserves more consideration and protection.

Please re-open the public comment period and allow the full and rigorous
exploration of true alternatives to constructing the new tower on its current
site.  Only after the public has accurate and complete information can the
responsible federal official make a truly informed decision about a project
that affects the scenic, recreational, and esthetic experiences of all who
visit and live near Mount Pisgah.

Sincerely,
